Four protections you will not see
Heavy rain, high humidity and a sloping site. These systems are in the specification for exactly that reason.
Drainage
A French drain around every building: 6-inch perforated pipe in gravel, wrapped in filter geotextile.

A double geomembrane under the ground-floor slab, laid before the concrete is poured.

Fibreglass anti-crack mesh across the whole wall surface, not patched where cracks usually appear.
