Lombok is Rising
A rare blend of natural beauty and government-backed tourism infrastructure, built for long-term demand.

The Bali Comparison
Lombok combines untouched coastline, world-class surf and a fast-growing tourism ecosystem supported by national-level destination development.
The difference: Lombok's growth is being accelerated by planned destination development and infrastructure upgrades, rather than purely organic demand.

Government-backed destination development means lower friction for travelers; stronger long-term demand for quality stays.
Why this matters to investors:
Better Access
Improved connectivity and infrastructure typically reduce travel friction and support higher occupancy.
Destination Visibility
Recurring international events and national promotion increase awareness and demand.
Long-term Positioning
Priority destinations tend to receive sustained attention on planning, services and visitor experience.
Massive Institutional Support
Mandalika is a government-backed tourism priority in Lombok, supported by major infrastructure investment and global events.
As part of Indonesia's "10 New Balis" initiative and a designated Super Priority Destination, it's positioned for sustained visibility and visitor demand.
Mandalika Mega Project & MotoGP
MotoGP 2026 is confirmed for 9–11 October at the Pertamina Mandalika International Street Circuit. The 2025 edition attracted 142,000 spectators and generated IDR 4.8 trillion in economic impact.
Indonesia has secured a 5-year contract extension, confirming long-term commitment through 2031.
Mandalika is also under active evaluation as a future Formula 1 venue: circuit designer Hermann Tilke has confirmed a two-phase plan targeting MotoGP-grade upgrades for 2027 and Formula 1 certification in a subsequent phase.
The Indonesian government continues to invest heavily in the Mandalika Special Economic Zone, including roads, airport upgrades, and tourism infrastructure.
Lombok International Airport
Lombok Airport served 2.36M+ passengers in 2024 — reflecting rapidly growing connectivity and demand.

Connectivity
Lombok International Airport (LOP) now serves 2.36M+ passengers per year, with direct flights from Singapore, Kuala Lumpur, Jakarta, and Bali. In early 2026, TransNusa launched the first-ever direct flight between Australia and Lombok (Darwin–Lombok, 4x weekly) — the only direct passenger service between Australia and Lombok.
A Perth–Lombok route is planned for late 2026.
In October 2025, Indonesia and Turkey signed a bilateral aviation agreement adding Lombok as a new destination, doubling passenger flight capacity from 14 to 32 weekly flights and opening a gateway for European and Middle Eastern travellers via Istanbul.
Trending Destination
Lombok is increasingly recognized as one of Southeast Asia's most exciting emerging destinations — featured in international travel media, driven by surf, nature, and the MotoGP effect.
